Dr. Kiran Natarajan

Dr. Kiran Natarajan is an ENT consultant with over 25 years of experience in ENT and Head & Neck surgery. She is an ENT Consultant at Madras ENT Research Foundation (P) Ltd, Chennai from 2005 onwards and a Visiting faculty, Madras ENT Research Foundation Institute of Speech and Hearing, Chennai from 2005 till date.  Her interests are in the field of microear surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery and microlaryngeal surgery. She has been a teaching faculty in MERF for DNB ENT postgraduates and a faculty in temporal bone dissection workshops for the last 20 years.

 

She is a faculty in the MERF Institute of Speech and Hearing for otorhinolaryngology training for students of audiology and speech pathology, She obtained her DLO from Madras Medical College, Chennai & DNB from Madras ENT Research Foundation. She was a national topper and was the recipient of 'Prof. S . Kameswaran Gold Medal' in the National Board of Examinations in the year 2002. She has received awards for paper presentations in the 6th  Annual Conference, The Cochlear Implant Group of India, Bangalore, Nov 2008, 7th South Zone ENT Conference & Kerala State Conference, Calicut in 2011,  9th South Zone and 16th Tamil Nadu State Annual Conference, Thiruchirapalli in October 2013,  10th South zone and 32nd Karnataka State Annual ENT Conference, October 2014, Bangalore, CIGICON 2017 at Visakhapatnam, 3, 4th Oct 2017 and CIGICON 2023,  31st august – 2 Sept, 2023 at Chennai.

 

She is a member of learned Societies and Scientific Bodies such as the Indian Medical Association, the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI), the Cochlear Implant Group of India (CIGI), the Indian Association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnea (IASSA), National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) and Indian Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery (IAOHNS). She has participated in several academic meetings, symposia, conferences, and workshops in India and abroad. She has been involved in the promotion of medical education & participated in several CME programs. She has more than 70 paper/poster presentations in ENT conferences and has more than 75 article publications/book chapters in ENT journals and textbooks. She is a reviewer for article publications in ENT journals. She has participated in several free ENT camps for providing otolaryngology services to the needy, conducted across Tamil Nadu since the last twenty-five years.
