Madras ENT Research Foundation (P) Ltd

Dr. Shanmugapriya, an enthusiastic ENT surgeon, is currently Consultant ENT surgeon at Madras ENT Research Foundation Pvt Ltd. and a teaching faculty in MERF Institute of Speech and Hearing. She is the consultant in-charge of the Cochlear implant clinic at Madras ENT Research Foundation. She graduated from Chengalpattu medical college in 2011 being topper in Anatomy and Preventive Medicine and distinctions in Physiology, Pharmacology, ENT and Paediatrics. She then did her diploma in Otorhinolaryngology from Upgraded Institute of Otorhinolaryngology, Madras Medical college in 2017 and obtained her DNB from Madras ENT Research Foundation in 2022. Her thesis titled ‘A Study of Auditory Verbal outcomes in Paediatric Auditory Brainstem Implant’ earned her certificate of commendation from National Board of Examinations.

 

After obtaining her DNB, she continued as Registrar at Madras ENT Research Foundation for 1 year following which she pursued the prestigious Implantation Otology Fellowship under Prof. Dr. Mohan Kameswaran for another year. She has also done a certified training program in Obstructive Sleep Apnea under Indian Association of Surgeons for Sleep Apnea.

 

She has won 1st prize for poster presentation in IAOHNS National conference, in IASSACON 2024 and won prizes in paper and poster presentation in SCENT 2016 and ROCKENT 2023 conferences. She has presented papers and poster in IFOS 2022 in Dubai. She has published articles and papers in reputed journals.
